Osvaldo: La posibilidad de conocer a toda esta maravillosa gente que nos abrió la puerta de sus hogares y corazones, caló muy profundo en mi y me brindó un montón de nuevos amigos. Me siento enriquecido también en el plano profesional, porque tuve la posibilidad de ver mi trabajo desde otra perspectiva y me permitió un enfoque distinto de lo que habitualmente hago. Yuli: El aspecto más importante del intercambio fue el humano, me gustó mucho interactuar con las familias anfitrionas y demás personas. Creé lazos de amistad que van a perdurar en el tiempo. Me encantaron los eventos sociales.

Soledad: Este intercambio me hizo conocer la cultura norteamericana desde su intimidad. El facilitarme vivir día a día con las familias anfitrionas, fue una experiencia extraordinaria, lo cual en cierto punto me hizo sentir como si fuera mi hogar. Este viaje me ha enriquecido en el plano profesional y por sobre todo personal, motivo por el cual estoy eternamente agradecida con la Fundación Rotaria y ROTARY International.

Enrique: En mi caso, lo mas importante fue ver el funcionamiento de la actividad rotaria como organizacion verdaderamente internacional y la generosidad y altos valores con que los rotarios hacen actividades para ayudar a los demás.

Dentro de el itinerario, tuvimos que ir a hacer un control de calidad en una bodega oregoniana, pero no logramos que Soledad pruebe si quiera un pinot noir.

Tambien fuimos a visitar la Universidad de Oregon y su museo.

Realmente todo es muy organizado, limpio y muy lindo, la gente muy amable y muy calida con nosotros y como pueden ver no solo visitamos bodegas, tambien trabajamos!! Creo que las expectativas que tenia el grupo con respecto al viaje han sido ampliamente superadas.

Estuvimos en diversos lugares del estado de oregon: ni bien llegamos fuimos a comer a casa de Chris Duncan, pero lamentablemente no tengo fotos, ni de la casa de Douglas Bale en Vida (Mc Kenzie River), pero voy a pedir a mi equipo que me pasen mas fotos para poder bajarlas al blog. Luego estuvimos un par de dias en Eugene (una ciudad realmente sorprendente) donde visitamos bodegas, universidades, shoppings, rotary clubs, cinemas, tuvimos nuestras visitas vocacionales y disfrutamos muchisimo nuestra estadia gracias a nuestros hosts, que segun me cuentan los demas integrantes del equipo tambien tuvieron muy gratos momentos con ellos.

Soy socio del ROTARY Club de la ciudad de Bella Vista hace 8 años. Tengo 36 años y mi profesión es odontólogo. Mi especialización es en cirugía , protesis e implantes, razón por la cual me gustaría ver como trabajan en ese ámbito mis colegas. Me interesa todo lo que tenga que ver con la odontología, tanto pública, como privada.
Soy casado con Maria Eugenia(36) y tenemos cuatro hijos: de 11(Nico), 9(Paloma), 5(Tomas) y 3(Guille) años. Trabajo con mi esposa, ya que ella es tecnica dental, .
Mis intereses en este viaje son variados, ya sea desde lo referente a mi profesión, pero tambien pasan por lo deportivo y cultural, como así tambien crear lazos de amistad con rotarios del distrito 5110.
Toco guitarra y algo de piano; practico tenis, paddle, tae-kwondo y voy al gimnasio.

My name is Enrique Javier Morales. I am 32 years old. I was born and raised in a little town of Formosa called El Colorado, a Province in the north limit of Argentina. Nowadays I’m living in Formosa City, the state capital. My father is Pedro Morales and my mother is Noemí Ledwith. I have three brothers and six nephews and nieces. I am single. I do several things in my life. I’m a lawyer by profession, specialized in tax law, working at my own legal office, as well as legal advisor at the local Department of Planning, Public Works and Services of my Province. I also work as a professor at the local University.
We are very happy and excited for doing the journey. It is a great opportunity for us, and we are very thankful to the Rotary Foundation and to the families that will receive us in their homes. My expectations about de Exchange are many and wide, I mean I hope that the journey will be the opportunity to make new friends, to practice the language, to know the culture of the society, to travel around the state, and take contact with the main institutions of the district, and other interesting matters related to our professions and specialties. In a few words, I expect that the exchange will be useful to our personal, cultural and professional growth. In that sense, I think that all the activities that could be planned will be beneficial for us, and we appreciate that. In my particular case, considering my profession, I am vocationally interested in the folowing issues: 1) Legal Firm dedicated to Trust Law. 2) Legal Firm dedicated to Tax Law 3) Regulations and practice of lobby 4) Visit an office of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or other Government Agency dedicated to Tax Collection at the sub national Level. 5) “Pro Bono” in the legal profession. Other matters could be: visit the University of Oregon, etc.
My hobbies are reading, watching movies and TV sports programmes, sightseeing, visiting new places, playing basket, running, cycling, weight training. But in general, I’m sure that every programme conceived will be very pleasant for us to do. I don’t have any allergies or any other special hosting requirements. I eat all kinds of foods, preferably low-fat ones.

Mi nombre es Enrique Javier Morales. Tengo 32 años. Soy Abogado, y mi especialización es Derecho Tributario. Trabajo en mi estudio, en la Subsecretaría de Planificación de Formosa, y doy clases en la Universidad (Procedimiento Tributario. También empecé a estudiar escribanía. Soy soltero. Mis expectativas son integrales, es decir espero que el viaje nos sirva para conocer gente amiga a largo plazo, conocer la cultura, conocer el estado de Oregon, y además tener contacto con las principales instituciones (universidad, diversos organismos del estado) y otros temas de interés que tengan que ver con nuestras profesiones y especializaciones. Ayudar al crecimiento personal, cultural y profesional. En mi caso me interesa tener entrevistas y visitas en temas relacionados a: lobby, trabajo pro bono de abogados, universidad, estudio jurídico en tema de fideicomiso y de derecho tributario, organismo recaudador de impuestos, tribunal de justicia, forma de gobierno a nivel local (city manager) y estatal, fundaciones ligadas a temas humanitarios y educativos, entre otros.
En el tiempo libre me gusta leer, ir al gimnasio, jugar al basket, voley o tenis, andar en lancha, salir. Seguramente las actividades diagramadas serán muy buenas.

Se conformó un muy buen grupo, desde ya estamos muy contentos y agradecidos con la Fundación Rotaria y con la gente del Distrito 5110 que nos va a recibir.

My name is Soledad Meyer, I’m 27 years old and I’m the oldest of my brothers.
I’m a lawyer and I’m doing my assistanship like a mediator.
In this period I’m the treasurer of my club Rotaract Resistencia Sud.
In my free time I study English, go to the gym and take tango classes, so I can say I have a busy life.
I’ve got a lot of excpectations about this trip of District 5110, I know it is an experience that would help me to grow up like an adult, profesionally and as a rotarian.
I like to know the legal system for retired people, because I’m working with people who want to retire or are retired and also to see how the Alternative Conflicts Resolutions Centres work.
I’d like to know The Universities the District has, just to see the educational system.
I want to learn how another clubs work, which their projects are and how they do it
Personally I like to do outdoor activities, as hiking, rafting, any sports and go to the zoo.
I like Museums, galeries and historic places too.
And of course I like, like Judith to go shopping.
Anyway the place you chose for me it will be Ok. I don’t mind where because I know I’ll have a great experience anywhere I’go.

En este período 2007-2008 me desempeño como tesorera de mi club Rotaract Resistencia Sur. En mi tiempo libre estudio ingles, voy al gimnasio y tomo clases de tango, asi que como veran llevo una vida bastante ocupada. Tengo amplias expectativas respecto a nuestra visita al Distrito 5110. Se que es una experiencia que me ayudará a crecer como persona, profesional y rotaractiana. Cuando estemos en Oregon o California me gustaría realizar actividades al aire libre,caminatas y diversos deportes. También me gustan los paseos por los zoo y por supuesto conocer los museos, galerias y lugares destacados. Si es posible me gustaría conocer su actividad economica. Y por supuesto al igual que a Judith me encanta ir de compras.Quisiera visitar las Universidades en el Distrito, los organismos judiciales y si existe algún instituto de resolucion alternativa de conflictos. Sería bueno aprender como trabajan los clubes rotarios, cuales son sus proyectos en marcha y como los llevan a cabo.De todos modos el o los lugares que elijan para que visitemos serán de mi agrado y estaré muy agradecida.

My name is Maria Judith Knaus, I´m 24 years old. I was born in a little town in the state of Chaco called Machagai. I´ve lived there since I was a child, then I went to University to Corrientes city and now I´m living there again. I´m a teacher and I work in state as well as in private schools.I´m studying to be a translator and I do some research in the field of language. I have a big and beautiful family. My father Omar and my three brothers: David, Samuel and Marcos. I have grandmothers two nieces and lots of cousins.
In my free time I like going to the gym, walking, reading, swimming, dancing and I also like to spend my time with children or doing social activities. I enjoy cultural activities too: visiting museums, watching plays, going to art expositions among others. I collect stamps from all over the world since I was 10!
I´m very excited about this journey and I think it´s a unique experince not only for improving my English but also for my cultural and vocational enritchment. I´m very thankfull for this wonderful opportunity that district 5110 offers us.
I´d like to visit historical places, visit different tourist atractions, go sightseeing, go rafting, watch a typical American baseball match if it is possible. I enjoy outdoor activities and going shopping too. I´m very concerned with ecology, in fact, I´ve been a member of Greenpeace for many years. So, I´d like to know how you manage with pollution and rubbish.
As regards the vocational part, I´d like to participate in English or Spanish clasess. If it is possible I´d like to be in charge of some activities or to deliver a whole class! I´d like to visit schools and Universities too. I prefer working with children but I also like working with teens or adults.
These are my interests but the schedule you plan for me will be all right. I don´t suffer from any allergies, I don´t need special hosting requirements. As regards food, I´d like to try typical dishes. I prefer low-fat foods and the only thing that I don´t eat is fish.

Personalmente me inclino por todo lo que sea cultural, me gusta mucho la literatura y el arte, no soy muy aficionada a los deportes ( lo unico que alguna vez practiqué es natación, me encantaría poder bucear en el mar! hice un curso de buceo hace muuucho tiempo) pero me gustaria ir a ver algún partido de baseball o basket, por supuesto que me gustan los shoppings (como a toda mujer! creo que Sole va a estar de acuerdo conmigo!) , cines, lugares turisticos, teatros, me gustan mucho las actividaes al aire libre. También sería lindo poder participar de alguna actividad a beneficio, tipo maratones, bicliqueteadas o venta de algo. Otra cosa que me gustaria es interiorizarme en todo lo que sea contaminación, reciclado etc. (soy miembro de Greenpeace) En cuanto a mi profesion me gustaria conocer los colegios de todo los niveles y tambien las universidades, aprender su modalidad de estudio para las lenguas extranjeras. Me encantaria poder observar, colaborar, preparar actividades o dar una clase de español o ingles en cualquier nivel ( prefiero el nivel inicial o primario, los niños son mi pasion! para la enseñanza! )

My name is Alberto Martín Gochez, I am 29 years old, I was born in the state of Misiones, where I study Genetics (Licenciatura en Genetica). Nowadays I live in Bella Vista (Corrientes) since 2003.
I live with Dolores, and we have a little baby (Nicolás Martín), I’m very thankful to God for both of them.
I work in an organization called INTA in the area of citrus diseases as a researcher. ( http://www.inta.gov.ar/bellavista/contactos/cv/gochez.htm ). Recently I´ve finished my MSc degree on Vegetal Production (Phytopathology). I’m very interested in any production system related to agriculture. In the future I’d like to start my PhD studies, but now I ´m continuing to work on several lines/ fields in our lab.
I think that this journey is a great opportunity to learn and interact with other people. I hope to know a lot of people, learn about your customs and lifestyle and show you a little about our culture.
My preferences are: to travel, to know new places, to taste regional food and to hear live music; I enjoy learning about the local history, visiting museums, universities, historical places and natural monuments. I don’t have any dietary restriction, allergies and don’t smoke too.
I like to watch sports like soccer and rugby, and any other contact sport (basketball, boxing, football), I´ve never seen a baseball game but I´m sure that I’ll found the possibility to play or watch one.

Mi nombre es Alberto Martín Gochez, tengo 29 años, nací en la provincia de Misiones, en donde estudié Licenciatura Genética. Actualmente vivo en Bella Vista (Corrientes) desde 2003.
Vivo con Dolores y tenemos un pequeño bebé (Nicolás Martín), estoy muy agradecido a la vida por ambos.
Trabajo en INTA como investigador en enfermedades de citrus ( http://www.inta.gov.ar/bellavista/contactos/cv/gochez.htm ). Recientemente he finalizado mis estudios de MSc en Producción Vegetal (Fitopatología). Estoy muy interesado en cualquier sistema de producción relacionado con la agricultura. En el futuro tengo planeado comenzar mis estudios de PhD, pero por ahora continuaré trabajando en las diversas líneas de trabajo de nuestro laboratorio.
Pienso que este viaje es una gran oportunidad para aprender e interactuar con otras personas. Espero poder conocer a muchas personas, aprender sus costumbres y forma de vida y mostrar aunque sea un poco de nuestra cultura.
Mis preferencias: viajar, conocer nuevos lugares, probar comidas regionales y escuchar música en vivo; me gusta aprender sobre la historia local de los lugares, visitar museos, universidades, lugares históricos y monumentos naturales. No tengo restricciones de dieta, alergias y no fumo.
Me gusto ver deportes como fútbol y rugby, así como cualquier otro deporte de contacto (basket, boxeo, fútbol americano), Nunca tuve la oportunidad de presenciar un partido de baseball, pero estoy seguro de que tendré la oportunidad de participar y asistir a uno.
